Summary

We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Floater. As a Floater, you will support our professional teaching staff in creating a safe and stimulating educational environment for each early learner. This role involves assisting in organizing activities, supervising children, maintaining cleanliness, and promoting positive social interactions. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the early development and growth of our youngest scholars - ensuring they receive exceptional care and attention. 

Duties

Responsibilities: 


Provide constant supervision and ensure the safety and well-being at all times. 


Assist in the implementation of age-appropriate activities and daily routines. 


Collaborate with the lead teacher to create and maintain a nurturing and engaging environment


Foster positive relationships with budding scholars, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development. 


Assist in basic care tasks, including feeding, diapering, and naptime routines. 


Support the clean-up and organization of the classroom and play areas. 


Communicate effectively with parents, sharing updates on their child's daily progress and activities. 


Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with the very young, parents, and colleagues. 

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • A commitment to upholding Christian values and incorporating them into daily interactions with early learners.  
  • Dedicated Christian  
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in early childhood development or a related field is preferred. 
  • CDA is preferred  
  • Knowledge of GELDS is a plus 
  • Previous experience working with infants or toddlers in a childcare or educational setting. 
  • Knowledge of infant care practices and age-appropriate developmental milestones. 
  • Ability to create a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for infants. 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. 
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children. 
  • First Aid, Fire Safety, AED, and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe).
