Small Engine Repair Technician - Downtown Valdosta

Summary

Small Engine Repair Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair on gas and other power tool equipment. Duties include diagnosing problems, ordering replacement parts, repairing or replacing damaged parts, and testing equipment to ensure it is working properly. Candidate should be comfortable working in hot or cold environments, and should be able to competently use various hand and power tools.

Duties

• Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed, many jobs will include the repair of STIHL chainsaws, edger’s, blowers, trimmers, and other small engines
• Repair or replace damaged parts, such as motors, switches, carburetors, fuel lines, etc.
• Maintain work orders with a list of repair work done and replacement parts used
• Test power tools and equipment to ensure they are working properly
• Provide excellent customer service and communication with customers and salespeople regarding repairs
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and education

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical or electrical equipment repair, including small engines
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to establish priorities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bending, and the ability to lift 60 lbs

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience or extensive knowledge of STIHL products and their functions
