A Montessori preschool in north Plano (Allen border) is seeking a Lead Teacher for the Toddler Class. This position is full-time.
Responsibilities: Plan and implement the curriculum. Establish a record-keeping system to track the children's progress. Facilitate a respectful environment for children and adults by advocating conflict resolution. Implement grace, courtesy, and character-building lessons. Attend all faculty meetings and scheduled staff events. Will need to pass a background check and fingerprinting and CPR/First Aid certification.
Two years' previous experience with children in an early childhood education setting. Fluent in English. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Works well with children, parents, and other staff members. Physically capable to work with children on the floor and playground, as well as to lift children, materials, classroom furniture, and clean. A strong understanding of education, child development, and positive classroom management techniques.
Preferred qualifications for this position include: Montessori certificate, or a Montessori certificate in progress.
