Summary

We are seeking qualified, passionate, committed early childhood professionals for lead/supervisor positions who are driven to make a difference in the lives of the young children and families we serve. The successful candidates are responsible for shaping and contributing to the lives of toddlers and preschoolers through thoughtful provocations and meaningful interactions.  Maintain all aspects of compliance, health & safety, operations, and managing/mentoring their team members. Foster connections and build relationships with the families and community.

Duties

  • Organize and prepare opportunities for children and families to create meaningful connections with the community
  • Always provides a safe environment with supervision of children at all times, consistently applying active supervision and emergency procedures
  • Implement the Reggio Emilia approach while incorporating emergent curriculum and project-based learning
  • Intentionally planning ongoing experiences that enhance the cognitive, social, emotional, linguistic, and physical development of young children
  • Implementing developmentally appropriate behavior management techniques, including positive reinforcement in alignment with Paladin’s image of the child
  • Keep necessary reports and documentation, including but not limited to, assessment data, developmental screening, behavior intervention plans, and conference notes
  • Build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families
  • Interact with other staff using the highest standards of professionalism
  • Follow through with an individualized professional development plan created in partnership with the director

Requirements

  • At a minimum, Lead teachers are to have an associate or bachelor degree in child development or early childhood education, or equivalent work experience
  • Adult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certified (paid by the employer during training if the applicant does not have it)
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
