Lead Preschool Teacher for Cumberland Street Preschool, Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Medina, TN

Summary

We are searching for an accomplished, well-rounded, passionate lead preschool teacher to join our team. You will be collaborating with a team of teachers, director, and parents to ensure that our students receive the best education we can provide. Key responsibilities include designing effective curricula, assessing lesson plans, implementing innovative teaching methods, and supporting less experienced teachers in their various roles.

To be successful as a lead teacher, you should be someone with a deep understanding of what it takes to teach students effectively. Top candidates will also be excellent leaders and mentors, able to use their knowledge to raise fellow teachers up, and make lasting improvements to the preschool's educational processes.

Duties

• Maintain the classroom and environment of the classroom in a healthy, safe, and stimulating manner
• Design and implement curricula, as well as mentor teaching staff. 
• Provide direct instruction to preschool age children
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with all staff, parents, and students
• Interact as a role model for students

1. Perform other duties as assigned by the director

Requirements

• Bachelor or Associate's degree in education or CDA.
• Experience in teaching and planning lessons.
• Great leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to provide colleagues and friends with honest, constructive criticism.
• Collaborative and creative mindset, with an affinity for problem-solving.
• Strong passion for the development and education of our children.
