The Goddard School of Fairfax is currently looking for full-time Lead Teachers who will encourage children to be lifelong learners by creating meaningful experiences that will foster their curiosity, and development from a young age. Duties

Overview of Role:

Our teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of their assigned classroom. Lead Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment. Teachers will work directly with children and parents daily to build strong relationships and provide quality service.

• Advancing physical and intellectual competence by adapting program activities to meet the individual needs of the children
• Providing positive guidance by supporting social and emotional development
• Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children's latest adventures
• Engage with other childcare professionals and continue to grow in your profession

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred), or
• Child Development Associate (CDA) (preferred), or
• Current and active enrollment in an accredited Associates, Bachelors degree program, or CDA (preferred), or
• High School diploma with experience in childcare, daycare, preschool, or school setting
• Must be able to work between the hours of 7:00AM - 6:00PM
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Be flexible
• CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
• Fairfax, VA 22030: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
