Summary

  • Flexibility to courses in Science: Physical Science, Chemisty and/or Robotics. Evaluate and grade students class work, assignments, and papers.
  • A interest in teaching courses in Algebra I, Algebra II and others would also be helpful, but not required. Salary dependent upon experience.
  • Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
  • Prepare course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
  • Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
  • Maintain regular after-class hours to advise and assist students.
  • Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials and methods of instruction.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
  • Advise students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
  • Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.
  • Participate in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities.
  • Perform administrative duties.

Duties

  • Supervise students in all aspects of the learning day.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
  • Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, and papers.
  • Write grant proposals to procure external research funding.
  • Supervise students' laboratory and field work.
  • Prepare course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
  • Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
  • Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
  • Advise students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
  • Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
  • Select and obtain materials and supplies, such as textbooks and laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as serving as department head.
  • Participate in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities.
  • Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.
  • Compile bibliographies of specialized materials for outside reading assignments.
  • Participate in campus and community events.
  • Act as advisers to student organizations.

Our school is a State of Art Private PreK through 12th-grade private school. We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools / Advanc-ED and we strive to challenge our students each and every day. Students utilize a state-of-the-art computer lab and library for learning enhancement.
