Our early childhood center is looking for a compassionate and committed Individual Support Aide to join our preschool classroom team. The Early Learning Center Individual Support Aide will work in our preschool classroom for 16 hours, four days a week, Mon/Tues/Thur/Fri 8 am-12 pm, Wed 8am-3pm and during public school breaks,(including summer!) five days a week, 8 am - 3 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break.
They will work 1-1 with a student identified as needing instructional and behavioral support in the classroom. This student loves playing with trucks, cars, trains and doing large whole body movement activities. Sensory -based play experiences help to support this student during their day-day at school. This position is available immediately and will be posted until filled. Our 1-1 individual support aide will provide support under the direction of the lead teachers and in coordination with service providers to create a caring and safe environment for the child and will assist in program engagement to improve the overall care and quality of education received.
*This position can be shared between two people and hours can be flexible for the right candidate*

The Early Learning Center (ELC) is a non-profit early childhood program created in partnership with families, educators, and members of the community. The Early Learning Center is a fully licensed, center-based program located at Fort Ethan Allen in Colchester, providing care and education for 38 children ages 6 weeks through 5 years.
