Early Childhood - Teacher Assistant

Summary

We are looking for a full-time assistant teacher. The assistant teacher supports the lead teacher by helping with small groups, supervising children during circle time, and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment where children can grow. We are looking for someone who is positive, hard working, dependable, caring, and patient. They should be able to communicate with parents, work well with other staff members, and be a good example for their students.

Duties

• Assist in the implementation of activities and encourage participation by children
• Actively engage in activities
• Help manage cleanliness and organization of the room
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and messages
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling
• Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center
• Follow all center policies and state regulations
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement

Requirements

• Have or be willing to work towards a CDA or above
• Pass a background check
• Pass a drug test
• A heart for teach and making a difference in children's lives.
