Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Lead 1-Year-Old Teacher to create a nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment for toddlers. The ideal candidate will implement structured routines, encourage social-emotional development, and provide engaging activities that support early learning. This role requires patience, attentiveness, and a strong understanding of infant and toddler growth. The Lead 1-Year-Old Teacher will collaborate with families, guide classroom assistants, and maintain a safe, stimulating space where young children can explore, play, and thrive.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement a structured, developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports the growth of one-year-old children.
- Create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration, sensory development, and social interaction.
- Support toddlers’ physical, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning activities.
- Maintain a consistent daily routine, including meal times, diapering, and nap schedules.
- Guide and support toddlers in developing early social skills, independence, and communication.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning space while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing individualized attention and developmental support.
- Communicate regularly with families, sharing updates on their child’s growth and learning milestones.
- Lead and mentor classroom assistants to maintain a structured and effective teaching environment.
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, and sensory exploration through hands-on experiences.
Job Requirements:
- Education Requirements: High school diploma
- Education Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Certification: CPR and First Aid certification required; additional childcare-related certifications are a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience working with infants or toddlers in a childcare, preschool, or early education setting preferred.

- Strong understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Ability to implement structured routines and engaging learning experiences.
