Early Childhood - Toddler teacher

Summary

We are seeking an energetic, dependable, teacher who has worked with toddlers and understands and effectively handles the challenges that working with this age brings. Must be able to balance fun with structure, for the children.

Hours: 2p - 6p, Monday through Friday.

Side note: We currently do not have openings for staff children.

Duties

Afternoon duties include:

• Maintaining a safe, comfortable, clean, environment for the children.
• Supervising snack time and outside play.
• Facilitating fun learning activities for the children.
• Effectively communicating with co-workers and parents.
• Light cleaning in classroom at end of day.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 18 yrs.
• Proof of High School completion
• Experience working with young children.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development and the willingness to complete ongoing training.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, or the willingness to obtain the provided training.
• Requirements include the ability to stand on feet for a period of time, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Strong organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Provide verifiable references.
• Non-smoker
