We are seeking candidates with relevant experience in early childhood education. Infant Toddler teacher must also have an understanding of infant/toddler development. All potential candidates should also be willing to continue their education as required. The following position will be filled with someone who is a creative, reliable, and dedicated professional who will share our mission of providing high quality early childhood support to children and their families. This position requires co-teaching overseeing the classroom, caring and nurturing each child as an individual, communicating with families and much more. The classroom is a mixed age group and will have a maximum of eight children with two teachers. 


TAKE FIVE is a year-round program. We are open from 8am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday. We offer care for children 6 weeks to approximately 5 years. All children two and up participate in our preschool program.

Duties

  • Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
  • Ensure a healthy classroom environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
  • Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth
  • Individuals would be responsible for maintaining state and school regulation

  • creating and delivering age-appropriate curriculum
  •  communicating with parents about their children, and of course, providing loving & nurturing care to the children in our school

Requirements

  • This is a very active position. Applicants must be able to lift at least 40lbs, be willing to spend time on the floor and on the playground with children, respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Must meet standards set by the Child Development Division.
  • Must have a minimum of 21 college credits in Education
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • CPR and First Aid Certified
  • Must complete all state-required training, Cpr & First Aid Certification, VT orientation training, Mandated reporting, Medication administration, Basic specialized care,  ACT 1 - What is Child Sexual Abuse
  • Must have experience working with young children
  • Must pass a background check including fingerprinting
  • Must have 3 great references

Weather Condition: all of our employees are paid for closings due to extreme weather conditions if our program is closed for the day.
