Infant and Toddler lead Teacher

Summary

We are seeking a experienced Toddler Daycare Lead Teacher to join our team in the capacity of caring for children while they are at our facility. The position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children in an exciting and fun environment. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable with the idea of being on their feet, on the floor and outside throughout day and can provide active play for children at our daycare center.

Duties

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet every parent or child in a cheerful, upbeat and joyous manner
• Plan, organize, and implement "Learn through Play" Instructional Curriculum in a Christian learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
• Create age-appropriate lesson plans and incorporate handwriting, crafts, games, hands on activities, field trips and daily homework to support curriculum.
• Maintain a small group by monitoring the children's safety
• Must be able to lift, pull, push, or hold 20-30 pounds
• Establish classrooms rules and behavior procedures
• Enforce all student administration policies and state governing rules
• Report physical or developmental problems that may require further attention
• Update parent(s) via school app, email or telephone
• Serve meals and snacks in accordance with nutritional guidelines as well as recognizing and documenting allergies of each child
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the center and all its parts (ie: bathrooms, classrooms, kitchen, etc.)

Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

• High school education required
• Background check required
• 2 year of professional childcare experience
• CPR/First Aid certification required
• Proven record of effective communication and ethical professional decision-making

Nice To Haves

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or Social Science.
• Comfortable working with 2 and or 3-year-old toddlers.
• Possess the ability to open and or close facilities periodically.
