Summary
Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through the physical count of merchandise and reconciliation against computer-generated reports.
Duties
- Maintains accuracy of all counts and ensures authenticity of all information
- Investigates any problems with inventory and reports any discrepancies
- Assist to maintain stock in appropriate locations and rotate stock
- Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers
- May lead, guide, and train staff in performing related work; as appropriate to the area of operation
- Assist inventory manager in devising new ways to reduce, shrink and maintain inventory control.
- Moves and restructures the organization of inventory to make space for new inventory
- Ensure logical placement, neat arrangement, and cleanliness of merchandise is maintained
- Complete special projects as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2+ years experience in inventory control
- Excellent math and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- The ability to tolerate low and high temperatures
