Toddler/Preschool Teachers

Summary

We are looking for team players that are dedicated and love working with people and children and not only teach them academically but also teach children life experiences in a positive and purposeful way.

Duties

Duties include but not limited to:

• Love children!!
• Pray for the children, families, and team at Garden City on a regular basis
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group
• Plan and implement the daily program with the help of a team teacher, apprentice teacher, or teaching assistant, if applicable
• Handle discipline promptly and in accordance with stated policy on discipline
• Work with parents to resolve any ongoing behavior issues with their child
• Report to the Director any special needs or problems of individual children
• Keep parents informed daily how their child did that day
• Have fun!!

Requirements

• TB Test
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Food Handlers Card
• First Aid/CPR - Child/Infant and Adult
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attend Team Meeting 1x month after hours
• 25 hours of professional development annually
• 6+ months experience in a child care setting
