Milton Family Community Center is looking for a cheerful and flexible center aide to help out across our programs as needed, ranging from supporting one of our three early childcare classrooms, front desk reception for our food shelf, or preparing early childcare program meals. We need someone who enjoys making life easier for other people, gets a kick out of the silliness of young children and is willing to step in wherever they are needed. This job will mostly involve hours in the middle of the day devoted to light food preparation ahead of lunch, and helping out in classrooms during our busiest times of day. If willing, you will also be our go-to substitute when regular classroom teachers or other essential center staff are out.
Assisting in three different classrooms during the middle of the day so teachers can have breaks
Building good relationships with students so that you become a well-known substitute in each of our classrooms
Meal prep ahead of breakfast, lunch and or snacks served at the center
General help with classroom organization and cleaning
Front receptionist duties, i.e. - answering the phone; greeting and helping food shelf participants
Must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma/GED
Must complete the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals' course or a 3 credit college course in human services or early education within the first 12 months on the job.
Previous experience working with children under 5 in as a teacher, counselor, nanny or babysitter.

Desire to work longer hours upon occasion as a substitute
Compensation is based upon education and experience, with a starting range of $17-18.50 per hour.
Health insurance and additional benefits package is available to those working over 30 hours per week.
MFCC covers the monthly premium of an individual's plan for Health Insurance, and 50% of the individual plan for Dental and Vision plans.
Pro-rated sick time and vacation time begins after a 90 day probationary period.
