Pre-K Lead Teacher

Summary

This position is responsible for the day to day management, implementation and supervision of classroom activities for the GA Pre-K class under Bright From the Start for the 2023-24 school term.

Duties

Provides collaborative and shared leadership in classroom interaction with the Teacher Assistant and children in the program.

Maintains required documentation including child's work, observations, notations and daily activities

Attends all training as required

Coordinates schedule and facilitate parent conferences as required

Completes assessments on each child in program

Advocates for program and recruits for program participation

Maintains a clean, safe tidy and stimulating classroom environment

Ability to work with children in areas of emotional, social and physical development in an age appropriate manner

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or other area of study defined by BFTS or higher credentials. Bachelor's in a non-ECE field also requires an Associate, Technical College diploma, CDA or Technical Certificate of Credit in ECE. Previous experience as a Lead Pre-K Teacher preferred.
