An Infant Teacher will provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and reach age appropriate milestones. You will demonstrate good judgement in the care and play with each infant assigned to you. You will verbally engage the infants throughout the day in addition to incorporating play activities. You will maintain the feeding schedule with the bottles and solids provided by the parents. The ideal candidate will be a caring individual who enjoys teaching young children with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. You will have a GED or H.S. diploma and will eventually complete the Early Childhood courses as designed by the state Child Care authority. You will have the flexibility to work a shift between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm and have reliable transportation to the Child Care center to ensure consistency for the infants. A clean drug screen and background check are essential before an offer an be extended.


  • Implements developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities according to DHS licensing standards, and center policies
  • Maintains a clean, safe, organized classroom environment which contributes to the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth of children.
  • Develops and implements curriculum based on children's individual needs and levels of development
  • Participates in and contributes to staff meetings, parent meetings/conferences, and opportunities for professional development.
  • Promotes and maintains confidentiality concerning information related to children, parents, and co-workers
  • Diaper infants when needed
  • Feed infants according parent schedule
  • Update infant records as needed (ie. when feeding schedules change)


  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Early Childhood education credentials, such as a CDA preferred
  • One year of early childhood education experience is required
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds is required
  • Experience working with children in a supervised setting is required
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
  • Ability to interact well with children, families, and staff
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills and be flexible
  • Ability to be flexible to the center's needs and hours
