Our dream candidate must be able to effectively communicate with students, parents and co-workers. They must having an amazing sense of humor. They must be willing to work as a team for the benefit of the students in their care. Candidate should be able to move and groove with their students, play with them on the floor and run with them on the playground.
Candidate must be reliable to work their shift and hold themselves to a high standard of care.
Providing a safe and engaging environment for the students in your care. Showing care and compassion for your students and co-workers. Being silly with your students, sharing your calm when your student is in the midst of chaos and having a willingness to shake off a difficult day and start the next day with a renewed determination. Giving parents an accurate reflection of their child's day. Working with parents to help students move towards age-appropriate developmental goals.
Candidate must follow all standards for licensing as outlined by the Department of Education.
Candidate must work with their co-teacher to develop an age-appropriate, engaging and FUN syllabus for their students each month.
At least 2 years of experience working in a licensed child care center
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and expectations when working with Toddler aged students.
Must qualify as a lead teacher
CPRA/FA certification (or willingness to get it within 30 days of hire)
VA Preservice Training and Update within 30 days of hire
MAT training
Fluency in Spanish (or any other language)
CDA, Associates or Bachelors strongly preferred
