Infant & Toddler Assistant Teacher

Kids World is currently accepting applications for Assistant teacher from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

We are looking for a qualified nurturing and patient teacher for our infant & toddler classroom-students in this classroom ranging from 13 months- 24months

Our teachers must have great love and patience for children. You must lift up to 25lb and be comfortable with changing diapers, potty training, feeding, and working with others

Our unique program follows Dr. Maria Montessori's learning method for children in the infant - preschool age group. By always keeping the child's best interest in mind, our beautiful environment allows for hands-on, experiential learning. In this climate, children love to learn.

Duties

Responsibilities

• Support Lead teacher in the classroom
• Opened minded and follow direction
• active and outgoing
• be responsible and work well with others
• be caring, nurturing, and loving
• interact with children while respecting their space and comfort.
• Help Organize naps, feedings, and changing of diapers and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.
• Work with teachers and parents
• Collaborate with other educators
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Requirements

Skills

• Proven experience as an infant or toddler classroom.
• 3 years of classroom experience
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as a mediator between children
• must be comfortable communicating with parents
• Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
• The balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
• Certification in child CPR
• CDA or High school diploma'
