Assistant Cook position for Child Care Center, Pay dependent upon experience $17.25-$19.00 per hour
Approximately 20-25 hours per week. Available on call if cook cannot work or during the Lead Cooks vacation.
Must be available 7-2 M-F
Cooking meals from scratch, based on USDA guidelines for a childcare center serving approximately 50 children and 10 staff. This person must know how to cook, to follow a recipe, know how to increase a recipe, order supplies, keep a clean and organized kitchen along with inventory. 20-35 hours per week Monday-Friday , Doing dishes is a part of this job. Being able to work as a team and follow directions from the lead cook is crucial to this position, while also being able to work independently when needed. Time management and organizational skills are key to this position.
First Aid/CPR, BBP. Food Handlers Card, Pass a Background check, and have a negative result for TB, COVID vaccines or submit an exemption request based on Medical issues or Religious beliefs
Experience cooking for 60 plus children, have knowledge of children's likes and dislikes.
