Puffer Child Care Center is a well-respected 4 STARS non-profit child care center, Child and Adult Food Program Provider, Act 166 Pre-k Partner and Early Head Start Partner.
Puffer Child Care has an opening for a Food Program Specialist, who prepares fresh, nutritious meals and and snacks. They coordinate the purchasing and storage of food according to CACFP guidelines, create menus and submit CACFP reports as well as attending CACFP professional development.
*Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to CACFP guidelines
*Prepare and maintain all needed CACFP reports
*Purchase and store foods according to best practice and CACFP guidelines
*Maintain a sanitary and organized kitchen, cleaning on a regular schedule
*Build and maintain emergency supplies of food and water
At least 18 years of age, with a High School diploma or GED.
Experience cooking for large groups of children.
Willingness to obtain 1st Aid/CPR certification and required professional development within 3 months.
Preference given to applicants with CACFP experience and/or ServSafe certification.
Experience working with young children.
