Summary
Prepare and cook large quantities of food for a Childcare Center. Prepare Breakfast, Snacks, and Lunch on site while following all USDA and CACFP guidelines.
Duties
- Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
- Apportion and serve food to facility children and employees.
- Cook according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, or numbers of portions to be served.
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment.
- Compile and maintain records of food use and expenditures.
- Take inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Requisition food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances, based on estimates of future needs.
- Follow all CACFP Food Guidelines for children.
