Pre- Toddler Teacher

Christian Preschool

In need of a Pre-Toddler Teacher who is willing to work with children between the ages of 16 months to 24 months. Also willing to work 30-40 hours per week between the hours of 9AM to 5:30 PM. MUST be able to close.

Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth or other child development.

Will train in other areas of the Preschool. Staff member will be expected to work in those areas as needed.

Will be hiring ASAP. Would like someone with a strong background and experience working in a Childcare setting.

Background checks will be done. CPR and First Aid will be required. Will train if necessary.

Duties

• Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
• Teach basic skills, such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills.
• Read books to entire classes or to small groups.
• Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
• Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health..
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Demonstrate activities to children.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records.
• Organize and label materials and display students' work in a manner appropriate for their ages and perceptual skills.
• Attend staff meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
• Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of preschool programs.
