Child Care - Assistant & Lead Teacher

Summary

Library Square School is now hiring an Assistant Teacher to join our team of dedicated and fun loving staff. We are currently looking for either Full-time or Part-Time Assistant Teachers!

Our mission is to hire the BEST employees to provide top-notch care for our children in our licensed childcare facility!

Duties

Some of the duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Working with children on art, science, leading story time, etc.
• Be positive, energetic and upbeat with the children as you guide them through the day
• Providing feedback to parents about their child's day.
• Being a creative teacher who enjoys working with young children!
• Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children
• Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
• Implementing lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children

Requirements

• Good work ethic
• Assistant Teacher Certification or willing to complete booklet course
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well with others
• A strong understanding of child development
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Must clear full background check
• Must be able to work afternoons
