Summary

The Family Childcare Consultant will conduct home visits once a quarter or more often if needed to monitor provider compliance with Madison Accreditation Standards, accredit / re-accredit providers once a year, as well as offer technical assistance, support, program recommendations, and training recommendations as needed to help providers improve the quality of care and meet Madison Accreditation Standards. 

Duties

The Family Childcare Consultant will conduct home visits once a quarter or more often if needed to monitor provider compliance with Madison Accreditation Standards, accredit / re-accredit providers once a year, as well as offer technical assistance, support, program recommendations, and training recommendations as needed to help providers improve the quality of care and meet Madison Accreditation Standards. 

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• Extensive knowledge of child care operations and needs
• Experience in Family Child Care preferred
• Successfully pass the Background Verification Day Care Check as required by the State of Wisconsin Administrative Rules.
• Successfully pass a physical examination that verifies the employee is free from communicable diseases and is physically able to perform required job responsibilities.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and adequate motor vehicle liability insurance as required by agency policy and state liability regulations.
