The Child Care Center in Norwich is undergoing a transformation! We invite creative, skilled teachers to join us as we adopt a Reggio Emilia-inspired program with an emphasis on children's innate sense of wonder, the arts, and outdoor education. Developed in Italy following WWII, Reggio values the "hundred languages of children," the endless creative ways children make sense of and express themselves in the world.
Starting Fall 2022, we will offer a "Core" Reggio program from 8 AM to 3:15 PM + an "Extension" that runs until 5:30 PM. Between now and then, we are recruiting first-rate educators to join us in part- and full-time positions, anywhere from 3 to 8 hours daily. You'll join a Core team in a nursery, toddler or PreK classroom, depending on your preferred age range. You'll be introduced to children, routines, classroom culture and Reggio-inspired approaches.
If you love to cook and/or garden, we can discuss a combined position that involves your spearheading a new "RealFoods4Kids" initiative. Come join our team during an exciting time of renewal!
