The Waitsfield Children's Center (WCC) serves infants through preschool aged children on a year round basis. Our philosophy is to provide high quality nurturing education in an environment that combines structure with a play-based curriculum in a home like setting. Nestled between a working farm and forests, we are active explorers who love to spend time learning and playing outside.
At WCC, we are seeking a fun-loving, energetic Teacher Associate to become part of our team working in our Maples classroom. In this class children are between the ages of two to three and a half. As our Teacher Associate, you should enjoy working in a team setting, singing songs, organizing art projects and fun activities. Additionally, an interest in implementing an outdoor curriculum into the daily rhythm of the classroom is desired.
WCC has exciting times ahead and is looking for a self-motivated individual to join in shaping the future of the center by creating a fun learning environment for the children of the Mad River Valley. The ideal candidate will take this opportunity to incorporate his or her own love of nature, play, music and movement into the culture of the center and the daily rhythm of the classroom. Experience working with young children is required, but WCC is happy to help the right candidate acquire the necessary qualifications.

This is a full time / 5 days a week position
Salary: DOE $30,000 to $38,000 a year.
