Part-time position with possibility of full-time work. This individual is responsible for implementing the Child Care Financial Assistance Program (CCFAP) in accordance with the regulations and policies of the Vermont Agency of Human Services, Child Development Division. This includes assistance to the public who qualify for the Child Care Financial Assistance Program and to childcare, early education and school age providers as well as informing and assisting parents enrolled in the Child Care Financial Assistance Program about additional Economic Service benefits for which they may be eligible.
The Eligibility Specialist will need to have a deep understanding of technology systems (especially Microsoft word, excel, and outlook), a high level of organization and attention to detail, interpersonal skills to have conversations to aid parents, caregivers, and providers, knowledge of community resources to offer families, as well as showing a caring, resilient, and respectful attitude.
Requirements of this position include Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies / Early Childhood Education (or a related field). At least two years post-secondary education, experience, and/or training, commensurate with job responsibilities, in the following: Parent education, childcare/ child development, early childhood education, human services, counseling, or a related field of study.
