Summary

This is a contract job from the beginning of July to the beginning of September with opportunities for furthering education, year-round work, and an amazing team!


We have three self-contained rooms and we are looking for Leaders for this summer. This would be an ideal job for a public school teacher or assistant or someone who has worked in camp settings in the past. We need self-starters who can form relationships with kids quickly. We are looking for role models who can help kids feel safe.


Position is Monday- Friday hours depending on classroom. 20-40 hours a week depending on experience. We do have some flexibility for certain days.

Duties

A teacher is responsible for assisting the lead teacher in implementing an engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experience for the children in his or her care.The teacher works closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing support system, aimed at providing each child with the highest level of care and the greatest opportunity for physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth.The teacher will step in for the lead teacher whenever the lead teacher is not present with the class.

  • must be able to lift up to 40lbs, bend and sit on the floor, run 100 yards, walk up to a mile, and actively and mindfully play and guide children.

Nice To Haves


Education:

  • Trained educators with Associates Degree, credentials, and specialized skills
  • Trauma-informed

Experience:

  • 2+ years experiencing with children in childcare setting and other leadership roles
  • Responsible for weekly planning, supervision, family engagement,, and exemplify leadership
