We are looking for an experienced and energetic person who enjoys thinking outside the box in regard to ECE to join our team as a Lead Educator in our preschool classroom.

As a lead educator you will be working closely with the Director (D) and Assistant Director (AD) ensuring that the standards set by Reggio's Treehouse and Virginia are met in an organized and timely manner. A lead educator must actively research and implement effective provocations and document the findings. Since the curriculum is emergent, educators must ensure all documentation is submitted to the AD in a timely manner.
Planning, preparing and delivering lessons in line with the Reggio philosophy that cater to individual needs of the students
Monitoring, recording and assessing student progress and development
Provide immediate and appropriate responses based on student need
Learn the technology required to document the experiences of children as well as support the documentation of student/classroom experiences
Collaborate with other teachers to share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge
Liaise with the Director to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children (PSHE integration)
Have a sharp and progressive vision of interdisciplinary learning and of teaching
Act professionally at all times, setting a good example to children
Use all learning resources effectively and create new ones
Communicating with parents and make sure they aware the development of their children
Organize and participate in parent meetings
Organize and participate in school meetings, events and trips
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related fields
At least 2 years work experience in a licensed child care facility, kindergarten or early childhood program
Strong organization skills and be able to multitask
Highly professional and dependable
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite
Experience in a Reggio Emilia inspired school is highly desirable
Knowledge of Project Based Learning a plus
Teacher certification or teacher license from any agency is a plus
International experience is a plus
