Duties

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the daily supervision and management of a primary care group of 4-10 children
• Plans, implements and supervises the daily program for the class in accordance with the philosophy of LeafSpring School.
• Incorporates principles of age appropriate growth and development and developmentally appropriate practice in daily lesson plans.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR ASSISTANT TEACHER:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must possess a love for children and an ability to relate well with them, their families, and teachers.
• AND...
• OR Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or other child related field
• OR CDA certificate in early childhood education with 6 months programmatic experience
• OR High school diploma and 1 year programmatic experience
• AND Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a NAEYC or AdvancED accredited program preffered.
