Summary
The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for food preparation and serves meals and snacks for children as well as maintenance, cleanliness, inventory, and safety of the kitchen.
Duties
- Plan menus in accordance with nutritional guidelines and food restrictions.
- Prepare, cook and serves meals.
- Maintain hygiene and safety of kitchen in according with state licensing requirements.
- Shop for items not available from food service.
- Clean/sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain food and product inventories.
- General cleaning of tables and floors.
- Maintain hygiene and safety of kitchen.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Organizational skills.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- 1 - 2 years of professional experience in food service; preferably in childcare or institutional setting.
- Basic math skills for measuring and portioning.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health screening.
- Serv Safe Certification (will consider hiring with the understanding that this training/certification is required within a specific time period).
