The Gathering Academic Preschool is a preschool dedicated to providing quality child care, interactive learning and memorable experiences, we are looking for highly motivated teachers to inspire and be part of a great team. Our school is growing and we have 2 infant/toddler teacher Positions Open. Our school hours are 7:00am-6:00pm, hours for this position will vary based on needs of school, but applicant must be available to work 9:00-6:15 Monday-Friday. These hours are not negotiable.

Duties

• Develop and deliver curriculum founded on the school's philosophies
• Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-directed learning
• Develop strategies to guide positive children's behavior
• Build good, open communication with children, families and staff
• Observe and record children's growth, development and behavior
• Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe

Requirements

You will need:

• To support the Christian values of the program
• Experience working in a childcare setting
• Fantastic organizational and teamwork skills
• Sound written and verbal communication skills
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate or obtain within 30 days of hiring
• Staff health report due prior to first day on the job
• Clear background checks from all states lived in in the past 5 years

COVID-19 considerations:

All staff must wear masks when in the building. Child drop off and pick up occurs outside to limit contact with other adults. Temperatures of children taken each morning.

The Gathering Academic Preschool is a family oriented child care center that serves children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. We are located in the Great Neck/Lynnhaven area of Virginia Beach. We are looking to hire staff that are loving, friendly, and motivated to learn more about child development and teaching young children.
