We are hiring full- and part-time floating teachers for each of our age groups (infant, toddler, preschool). We are also looking to fill an eventual Infant Co-Teacher Position.
Turtle Island Children's Center (TICC), a nonprofit organization, is a year-round play and nature based early childhood program, serving infants through pre-Kindergarteners. We are located on magnificent grounds along the North Branch River in the Capital City of Montpelier, Vermont.
We spend much of our time outdoors, with regular adventures on the trails surrounding our school. Our operating hours are 8:00-3:30.
The health and safety of our community are at the forefront of our decisions, which are made collaboratively with input from our teachers, children and parents. All staff members are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (or have a medical or religious exemption). We are committed to social justice as foundational to our teaching and we practice emergent curriculum; letting children's interests lead the way.
