Afterschool and vacation teacher or assistant

Summary

We serve children of all ages and would like to provide the school aged children with a separate program. If working with school aged children appeals to you and you enjoy creative activities, we would like to talk to you.

Pay depends on experience and prior education.

Duties

Reliability is key.

Create and follow through with curricula for non-school times.

Manage a group of up to 12 children (6/7 on your own) ages 5-12 with a positive attitude.

Basic cleaning and organizing.

Follow regulations and center policies.

Agree to training and educational requirements of state and the center (some happen outside of work time)

Be flexible to work with other ages if you want to work full time all year.

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or GED
• Background check with fingerprinting
• Training will be provided if needed, but experience and training will be appreciated
• High energy.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer skills.
• An enjoyment and interest in child development.

Nice To Haves

Certification in child/infant CPR/First Aid

Northern Lights Level certification or other ECE certification

College credits related to Child Development

Experience working a regulated center
