We are looking for enthusiastic early childhood teachers who can support classroom teachers in the afternoons (12:30/1:00-5:00, M-F, ~20 hrs/week) with classroom teachers' lunch breaks, curriculum planning time and other out of classroom time. The afternoon support teacher would work alongside classroom teachers in the afternoon to clean up classroom and school, set up afternoon curriculum, support children during nap times, and engage meaningfully with children in the afternoon and with families at the end of day.
Scheduling can be slightly flexible but we are looking for teachers who can teach until school closing time at 5:00 pm. We are seeking an infant room afternoon support teacher and a toddler afternoon support teacher. Additional hours as a substitute teacher in addition to afternoon hours are a possibility if that is something of interest to applicant.
We are a new, arts-based program started by experienced and idealistic educators. We believe in play and exploration and are looking for teachers who believe in students and families and are looking to create a strong community network.
We believe children are whole and right just as they are and our job as educators is to guide and support their development.
