Individual must be able to work closely with Administrator to ensure the smooth working operations of the child care center. Job duties similar to an administrative asst. Professional demeanor, ability to work with children, staff, and adults in an appropriate manner, office skills to include Microsoft Office products, experience in ProCare is required and other office programs used. This is not an assistant director position.
This is a summary of duties and not the totality of the expectations:
Organize, monitor, and maintain reception areas (all common spaces of the preschool)
Relay and enforce agency policies as to relates to the safety of children, families, and staff.
Answer telephones and transfer calls to appropriate staff member
Maintain current contact list and student information cards
Distribute daily mail
Organize and maintain enrollment packets and handbooks
Inventory and organize office supplies, relay inventory needs and procurement when required.
Develop monthly parent newsletter.
Create and modify documents using Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Photocopying, scanning, mailing, filing, etc
Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system
Support staff as needed
Classroom support as needed
Must have High School diploma, college is preferred, Can pass a background check, and medical physical, as well be able to complete all areas of orientation including training and proficiency skills test given at the office to include, typing and document creation.
