Infant Teacher Wanted

Summary

 The Mead School is looking for a full time Infant Teacher!!

Duties

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Working in collaboration with a teaching team to establish and maintain

      A physically safe, clean, and healthy learning environment, both inside and out, to prevent injury and reduce illness.   

 

      A consistent, predictable, responsive, and well-organized environment, intentionally prepared to meet the evolving needs of students, foster a sense of belonging and emotional security, and encourage appropriate behavior.

 

      A respectful, loving and inclusive environment that values and honors each child's gender identity, race, culture, family, language, and learning style to nurture a positive and strong sense of self.

 

      An environment that provides a developmentally appropriate and anti-bias curriculum and supports each child's emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.

Requirements

• CDA, Childcare Credential or Associate's Degree in early childhood education, or related field of study, is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience accepted.

• Candidates should possess a positive energy and have strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Must take direction well and be quick to learn. It is important to be a team player, trustworthy and maintain strict confidentiality standards.

• A solid understanding of child development.

• Must clear full background check and pass health screening.

• Requirements include the ability to lift and hold children, take frequent walks / maneuver a classroom or playground, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, lift, squat or crawl.

• A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, have peripheral vision and depth perception.

Nice To Haves

• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification preferred but training can be provided
