Assist with supervising children during nap-time.
Follows the classroom rules they are assigned to.
Interacts respectfully and kindly with the children, parents, and staff.
Releases children only to an authorized person.
Aids children in all areas of personal hygiene and
Maintains the welfare, health, and safety of the children on school premises.
Assists as needed during special activities.
Greets each child on a daily basis and treats each child equally, with dignity and respect.
Implement appropriate behavior guidance practices that are respectful and support the dignity and uniqueness of each child.
Assists in maintaining the order and cleanliness of the room and materials, including the use of bleach and other cleaning materials.
Uses Universal Precautions in handling any and all body fluids.
Follows personnel policies.
Is a team player.
Maintains a respectful and professional attitude at all times, particularly in terms of relationships with parents, children, and co-workers.
Completes 20 hours of training per licensing year for full-time employees.
Maintains current CPR and First Aid Certifications.
Attends monthly staff meetings.
At least one year of experience working in an early setting
High School Diploma or GED required.
CPR/1st Aid certification (or willingness to obtain these within first 90 days of employment).
Satisfactory criminal background in accordance with state and federal requirements.
Must meet requirements of Georgia state child care regulatory agency, includes drug screen and TB screen.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
Flexibility, a good attitude and a good sense of humor will be helpful.
