Teacher's Aid FT

Summary

We are a Reggio-Emilia inspired preschool in the heart of Abingdon, VA.

We serve families of children 22 months to 5 years old.

 

This position is for a Preschool Aid Expected shift:

• Monday - Friday

 

Duties

Supervise and care for children ages 36 months - 5 Years in an indoor and outdoor setting.

Learn and implement the cleaning and safety standards set forth by the VDOE.

Assist afternoon staff with cleaning tasks such as:

•  Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas.
•  Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, laundry and removal of trash.
•  Carry out deep cleaning and detailed cleaning tasks.
•  Notify management of deficiencies or repairs required.

Requirements

• Candidates must pass required state and company background checks.
• Have a minimum of 6 month experience with children (volunteer or professional).
• Their own reliable transportation.
• Mobility.
• Be able to take direction, give direction, and communicate well with everyone in a respectful manner.
• Be willing to clean and sanitize daily.
