Summary


Northeast Kingdom Community Action seeks Children's Integrated Services Coordinator / Director

Northeast Kingdom Community Action (NEKCA) services the three counties in the heart of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom (NEK). Our mission is to empower all generations in the Northeast Kingdom to grow, prosper, and thrive. We're seeking a Children's Integrated Services (CIS) Coordinator / Director to help us further that mission and provide the best possible service for our community. 

The CIS Coordinator / Director provides leadership to the regional CIS system of care in all aspects of systems development, service delivery, professional development, financing, data collection, and evaluation for the CIS array of services (Early Intervention, Strong Families Vermont Home Visiting, Specialized Child Care, and Early Childhood and Family Mental Health), with the goal of supporting young children and their families in accessing needed services in a coordinated and integrated manner. The CIS Coordinator / Director serves as a liaison between the Department for Children and Families Child Development Division and NEK CIS service providers and teams.

Duties

Position responsibilities include:

 - Systems Development working closely with other invested partners to facilitate development, implementation, and evaluation of the region's CIS system of care, with a focus on upholding confidentiality, informed consent, and parental rights

- Service Delivery leading NEK CIS Administrative Team in CIS administration and direct service at NEKCA, overseeing coordinated intake and referral, early intervention, and family support services

- Professional Development participating in professional development efforts for CIS staff, and providing opportunities and guidance for CIS Team members

- Financing understanding the regions funding allocations, supporting regional partners, monitoring regional CIS expenditures

- Data Collection ensuring robust and reliable data collection and analysis, and sharing data reports with the CIS Administrative Team, to assure timely high quality services and inform an effective and integrated system of care

- Evaluation reviewing community and family needs, monitoring access to services and progress on service outcomes, and working with regional team to review best practices to promote population health and improved family outcomes


Requirements

  • Must comply with NEKCA policies if hired.
  • Staff will be required to authorize and pass NEKCA's criminal record check process
  • Valid driver's license

 

Preferred Qualifications:  


  • MA in human services related field
  • 3 years of professional experience with young children and their families
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Detailed knowledge of region's network of maternal and early childhood supports and services, and how to access them
  • General understanding of funding related to early childhood supports and services
  • Demonstrated leadership in systems development and systems change
  • Experience working collaboratively with community organizations in the delivery of services for children and families
  • General computer proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

Job Details:

- Position is primarily onsite at NEKCA or in the NEK communities

- Requires some travel within the region

- Salary range is $55,000 - $58,000 depending on experience
