The person selected for this position must be professionally prepared as a teacher of young children, especially in the field of early childhood education or development, and be able to meet the requirements of the licensing agency. This person must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
Duties include watching children, lifting up to 40 pounds and responding quickly to children's needs. Also promoting a smooth afternoon transition for the children and a safe, nurturing, fun environment for the children throughout the late afternoon. You must have a current physical, pass a back ground check, provide proof of education (degree in education or related field) and 3 written references.
Preference will be given to the candidate with formal training in early childhood development and experience in a child care setting. DHS required continuing education hours are compulsory for this job.
Full time ( w/ 30 min. lunch break) with benefits including sick, vacation, paid continuing education hours and holiday pay, insurance and pension.
