Oak Hill Children's Center is a high quality early care and education program (4 STARS) located at 72 School House Road, Pownal, Vermont. The program serves children from the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years and includes before/afterschool care and school age summer programming. The center is open from 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and is closed for holidays and cleaning days. The Center offers preschool programs during the school year through a partnership with the Southwestern Vermont Supervisory Union.
Applicant MUST be licensed in the State of Vermont as an early childhood teacher. Candidates who have worked with children with special needs and those suffering from early trauma preferred. This individual should understand developmentally appropriate practice and the importance of play. The candidate should show empathy, compassion, and respect for all and be able to work collaboratively with their fellow teachers. The candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate program for preschool children which meets the requirements of the Vermont Learning Standards.
