Cool Spring Child Care Center is accepting applications for a teacher in our Pre-K classroom. This is a full-time position with generous benefits including employer paid insurance.
General Purpose:
To provide children with developmentally age appropriate experiences and activities that will help them develop spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially.
Work together with supervisors and co-workers to provide a safe, fun, learning environment for children
Understand basic and individual needs of children and respond and interact appropriately
Overall management and supervision of the group of children to which assigned
Plan and implement a variety of developmentally appropriate activities i
Provide written lesson plans to the supervisor on a monthly basis.
Share goals and classroom news with parents on a monthly basis.
Communicate daily with parents of children in the classroom
Maintain an ongoing evaluation of each child in order to assess each child's developmental level
Teach and practice good personal hygiene
Serve meals and snacks in accordance with the center's policies
Provide a safe, clean, and orderly environment for children
Arrange indoor and outdoor space to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities, and safety
Understand and be able to implement emergency procedures
Participate in scheduled staff meetings
Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of the program.
Participate in at least sixteen hours of training on an annual basis that is related to the appropriate age group
Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children, families, and co-workers.
