The Sub Service offers its members opportunities for paid, ongoing professional development. Our program can lead to permanent positions or supplement your current work or school life. 


Our online Substitute Service is ideal for your hours. You choose the childcare centers and areas of the community in which you wish to work. Jobs are announced per text message and you choose if you wish to apply. Pay is based on your education and experience. Hours are flexible and will vary from week to week. No minimum hours are guaranteed.


Duties

        Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.

        Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.

        Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.

        Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.

        Follow all center policies and state regulations.

        Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.


Requirements

        High School Diploma or GED

        High energy.

        Ability to work well with others.

        Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

        Access to email and internet.

        Must provide past employment and personal references.

        Must clear full background check.

        Must pass health screening. 

        Must be able to lift 40 lbs., sit on the floor for interaction with children, be active on the playground, and be outside in hot and cold temperatures. 


Nice To Haves


        CDA or 6 hours of ECE credit preferred.

        An understanding of child development.

        Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

        Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification a plus.

        Professional Development as required by the Department of Human Services.

        Current TCOTS certification in Before You Begin and TNELDS.

        One day classroom training required
