The Director of Network Operations position is a leadership role that oversees and supports various NCTC Broadband programs and related launches. This role requires a highly dedicated and motivated individual who can take ownership and provide strategic and technical direction to various internal/external cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

This role is focused on optimizing network efficiencies across the NCTC member companies and has leadership responsibility working with teams of Network Engineers from multiple organizations as well as managing multiple carrier relationships that will be supporting an ever-evolving network infrastructure. Additionally, this role will focus on providing direction on network route optimization, peering and caching strategies as well as assisting in designing for the future. They will be expected to provide input on the design and support of new services under the NCTC Broadband business unit.

This position will also provide ongoing communications, technical expertise and support to members during the various stages of the different programs and to help enable NCTC members to take advantage of evolving technology solutions as well as realize synergies and savings by participating in collective programs for broadband related services.

Educate and inform members on various programs that may be of value in Broadband and Video arenas. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate and present to all levels of member company organizations and vendors regarding NCTC broadband initiatives. 

Manages and supports broadband launch processes, which includes

Assist Members with related network connections, peering relationships, caching services and additional member needs.

Point person for ongoing program communications with members in partnership with our Product and Operations leads.

Assist our sales and marketing efforts with technical expertise as needing during key customer engagements.

Experience in understanding / utilizing network mapping tools such as ArcGIS, Google Earth, CAD, Visio.

Authoring and maintaining customer facing documentation relating to launch processes, training, operations of any NCTC platform or programs.

Escalation support for member network which includes ticket triage, operations support, SLA reporting and member technical training.
