The Assistant Facilitator will assist the Lead Facilitator in the planning and implementation of a curriculum consistent with the philosophy of the Early Learning Campus including Reggio Emilia inspired activities.
Responsibilities include assisting with age and ability-appropriate long-term projects and research-based activities.
The Assistant Facilitator will apply guidelines established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and participate in classroom self-assessment and improvement procedures using the Infant/Toddler or Early Childhood Rating Scales.
The Assistant Facilitator is responsible to adhere to KY Child Care Regulation requirements as set forth by the Cabinet for Families and Children at all times, and to the requirements of the USDA Food Program. The Assistant will also follow and support ELC policies and procedures and perform Lead duties in the absence of the Lead Facilitator.
Complete a minimum of 15 hours of state-approved training each year (hire date to hire date) and to maintain current TB testing documentation.
High School Diploma and Child Development Accreditation (CDA) or 12 equivalent college credit hours in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or Early Childhood Special Education.
