We are seeking an energetic, creative, and flexible early childhood educator for a rewarding full time floater position with potential for advancement. We care for children, infants to age five, in a Reggio-inspired, play-based and relationship focused program.
Candidates should have experience working with young children in a group setting, familiarity with DHS rules & regulations, and the ability and drive to learn and grow. Additionally, candidates should possess the traits that we value: a love and respect for working with children, strong work ethic, great communication skills, a mature, positive outlook, and the ability to engage warmly with young children and families in a loving and respectful way.
McKendree sees children as capable, curious and full of many talents and gifts. We see teachers as role models for character and a supportive, provoking research partner that fosters learning in an emergent and child-led way. If this sounds like you and the type of program you want to be a part of or learn more about, then please apply! Thank you!
A typical day is spent providing planning time and breaks for primary educators, as well as filling in as a substitute or other assignments, as needed, so flexibility is a must!
