An Infant Teacher will provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and reach age appropriate milestones. You will demonstrate good judgement in the care and play with each infant assigned to you. You will verbally engage them throughout the day in addition to incorporating play activities. You will maintain the feeding schedule provided by the center.
The ideal candidate will be a caring individual who enjoys teaching young children with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. You must have a GED or H.S. diploma and complete required training once hired. You must have reliable transportation to the Child Care center to ensure consistency for the infants. A clean background check is essential before an offer can be extended.
Responsibilities for Infant Teacher
Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in his/her care
Change diapers every 2 hours or as needed
Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling/holding them
Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys
Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
Create a weekly lesson plan and parent newsletter
Qualifications for Infant Teacher
Completion of required training.
Willingness to obtain CPR and first aid certification
Meet annual professional development requirements, per state regulations
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
Caring individual who enjoys teaching young children
Able to lift up to 30 pounds
Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
Ability to work a shift in between 7:00 am _ 6:00 pm
Reliable transportation to the Child Care center
Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents
